About Us

Chris is both Founding Director of Origin Rural and a Chartered Surveyor with over 17 years professional experience in the rural sector. Based on his family’s farm in Wiltshire with an active involvement in agriculture, Chris truly understands the intricacies of the industry from the inside. Having spent his early career as a rural surveyor with Savills operating across the South of England, Chris has built a strong professional grounding and reputation in estate management, agri-business and farm agency, with a broad range of clients. A spell with the National Trust as a specialist ‘problem solver’ across the rural estate provided Chris with exposure to institutional scale land management; balancing conservation and a strong sustainability agenda alongside commerciality. In drawing together corporate and in-house specialisms, Chris now benefits from a truly broad skill-set in professional services and people management. In 2018, Chris established a specialist independent advisory centred around private clients. In growing this business and developing a long-standing client base, Origin Rural now prides itself on personalised service and targeted professional support where it compliments client’s needs. The focus is firmly on adding value to rural business and property through bespoke advice.
